Published in:Mueller, F.J.H. von (1858), Fragmenta Phytographiae Australiae 1(1)

A.D.Chapman, Austral. Pl. Name Index 2904 (1991) considered Triglochin maundii to be an invalid provisional name, provided only if the species was to be accepted in Triglochin. However the placement of Mueller's comment, Fragm. 6: 83 (1867), under T. nana and his statement that Maundia triglochinoides is a distant form of Triglochin is here interpreted as his acceptance of the circumscription.
