A possible hybrid between A. arida and A stellaticeps is recorded (Fl. Austral. 11B: 217 (2001)). A putative hybrid between A. hilliana and A. stellaticeps is recorded for WA (Fl. Austral. 11B: 228 (2001)). A. sphaerostachya is probably a hybrid between A. stellaticeps and A. ancistrocarpa (Maslin & Kodela in Fl. Austral. 11B: 245 (2001)).
