Names and sources

Accepted Name Source
Acacia quadrimarginea F.Muell.
  • APC
According to:Council of Heads of Australasian Herbaria (2006), Australian Plant Census
Published in:Mueller, F.J.H. von (1876), Fragmenta Phytographiae Australiae 10(82) [31]

Intermediates between A. demissa and A. quadrimarginea are recorded (Cowan & Maslin, 2001). Mueller used an unconventional spelling for his species epithet, presumably meaning 'four margined', usually translated as quadrimarginata. However, if his original spelling is accepted then the root of the epithet is presumably quadrimargine-, and the combination in Racosperma should be R. quadrimargineum (q.v. Acacia resinimarginea / R. resinimargineum).
