  6. Data resource: Tracking of Little Penguins (Eudyptula minor) from Montague Islands, New South Wales coast, Australia (2012-2019)

Penguins were tracked from a breeding colony on Montague Island (Baranguba) (3615.11 S, 150 13.60 E), 9 km off the southeast coast of New South Wales, Australia. Tracking was conducted during September and October over a 5-year period from 2015 to 2019. Penguins were tracked while brooding young chicks (04 weeks old) and therefore limited to making single-day foraging trips within approximately 25 km of the colony. This dataset contains additional tracking in the period 2012 to 2014...

  7. Data resource: Tracking of Little Penguins (Eudyptula minor) from Montague and Bowen Islands, New South Wales coast, Australia (2012 - 2014)

The field study was conducted on Montague Island (36.253, 150.227), 9km off the southeast coast of New South Wales, Australia, in September, November and December 20122014. This dataset consists of 166 tracks from adult little penguins (Eudyptula minor) covering the peak of the little penguins breeding season. The analysis of tracks versus ocean properties is in Carroll, G., Everett, J., Harcourt, R. et al...

  8. Data resource: At-sea GPS tracks of little penguins (Eudyptula minor) tagged at three colonies around Storm Bay (Boronia Beach, Wedge Island and Bruny Island Neck), Tasmania, Australia over the 2015/16 summer breeding season.

This data contains at-sea GPS tracks of little penguins (Eudyptula minor) tagged at three colonies around Storm Bay, Tasmania (Boronia Beach, Wedge Island and Bruny Island Neck) over the 2015/16 summer breeding season. This data was collected as part of an honours thesis submitted in 2016. Metadata details are at http://metadata.imas.utas.edu.au/geonetwork/srv/eng/metadata...

  9. Biodiversity Science project: Investigating public awareness and understanding of disturbance to little penguins.

The study is titled ‘Investigating public awareness and understanding of disturbance to little penguins.’ The project will investigate the factors that influence individual understanding and definition of a ‘disturbance’ to wildlife using online questionnaires and behavioural analysis of little penguins (Eudyptula minor) via camera trap footage. This project is supported by Flinders University, College of Science and Engineering.
