  2. Data provider: Condobolin Weed and Pest Management Program - Targeting African Boxthorn

    This project will engage the community to reduce the spread and impact of African boxthorn, a Weed of National Significance, in the riparian areas of Condobolin as the boxthorn is displacing the native vegetation and providing a breeding ground for invasive pest animals. This project supports the National African Boxthorn Strategic Plan and the regional Catchment Action Plan.

  3. Data provider: Mareeba Tropical Savanna and Wetland Reserve - Fencing for Sustainable Grazing

    This project will provide 17 kms of fencing on the Mareeba Tropical Savanna and Wetland Reserve to enhance management of grazing so that it is conducted in a manner that is sustainable and reduces the impact on a range of threatened taxa and their habitats. Improved fencing will allow stock to be more tightly managed in relation to prevailing environmental conditions, severe weather events and the breeding timing of key taxa. The project will result in improved biodiversity within the Reserve.

  5. Data provider: Walloping a WoNS at Windimurra

    This project will work with the Meekatharra Rangelands Biosecurity Association to eradicate isolated Parkinsonia infestations that are present on Windimurra Station. Eradication will be achieved through mapping the 200 hectare infestation, follow up spraying of the infestation (including seed sets), on-going monitoring, and further follow-up treatment as required.

  6. Data provider: Revegetation / Inverell Waste Management project / Propagation and Planting

    The project would see a Green Army Team work identified projects including the propagation and planting White Box seedlings around the Inverell Waste Management Facility. Participants will propagate tree seedlings at the BEST Tree Tenders Nursery Facility located on Warialda Road. Participants will learn horticulture techniques, plant and equipment operation, employability skills and will develop environmental and species awareness.
