Description
Small, shrubby herbs with alternate or rosetted leaves. Flowers small, greenish or cream, zygomorphic, borne in terminal, elongate racemes. Sepals and petals each 4–6, the latter usually clawed and 2- or 3-lobed. Stamens numerous and clustered on one side of the flower. Ovary superior, from an early stage open at its apex; floral disc present; nectaries present on the disc; developing into a capsule. source: ABRS Flora of Australia Online
